We visited our three tenants in North Shields to see how they're getting along!
- 4 bedrooms for 3 tenants
- Quiet neighbourhood
- Bus and railway links nearby
- Detached property
- Garden and patio to rear
Our three tenants were in need of a new home in a quiet neighbourhood near to transport links to increase their independence as they moved into young adulthood.
Previously in a much louder mixed apartments with outdated kitchens and shared bathrooms, the three young women wanted to live in a house share with each other as they begin college.
...inclusion and consultation
As with all of our properties, the involvement and input of all relevant parties is essential to the success of our projects. We visited the property with support workers to assess suitability and we continued to work with families and professionals to ensure that their needs and wishes were taken into account.
It's always a wonderful moment to visit our tenants in their brand new homes to see how they've settled in, and it was no exception visiting two of our three housemates with their support worker on a crisp and bright October day!
The three young women have really settled in to their new home that they are delighted is now 'just for girls' and on a beautiful and quiet residential street. One of the tenants was delighted to be taking the bus to college by herself, was planning on seeing her favourite band and all of the girls have already become fast friends with the neighbours.
The house really feels like a home now, with each of the girls having put their stamp on it. The living room is bright and warm with the sun streaming into the living room-diner and decorated with pictures and ornaments of butterflies, cosy soft furnishings and potted plants. The kitchen is clean and tidy and looks out over the garden and patio area
